This lodge was GREAT with spectacular views of Mt Rushmore (only about 2 miles away) Breakfast was AWESOME everyday. The staff was friendly and extremely helpful with site seeing options and directions. My trip was in the winter so most of Keystone was already closed for the season. I had 2 drive 20 miles 2 Rapid City 2 get lunch or dinner...the ride was smooth but the scenery was worth the drive down hill!
I spent 4 nights there towards the end of the 2017 season. You could tell by the empty parking lot that things were winding down, but the staff didn't slow down one bit. Everything was always clean and fresh with a nice complimentary breakfast to start out each morning.
Outstanding hotel. If you want to hit the National Park locations it is ideally located. Minutes from Mount Rushmore and an hour or less fro the Badlands, Jewel Cave and Wind Cave as well as the Crazy Horse monument. Food was excellent at the breakfast buffet and the evening bar and grill fulfilled our needs each evening.
This place is amazing. We Can see the side of Mt Rushmore from our room and we watch deer every evening in front. The staff are great also. We will be back.
My family and I stayed the night at the lodge. It was beautiful;from the decks you can see the profile of George Washington on Mount Rushmore. We had a meal in the restaurant, good hamburgers beautiful scenery. We had breakfast: omelette, sliced ham,muffins and waffles. Short 1/2 mile to Keystone and 3.5 miles to Mt Rushmore. Great place to stay.
